Founder Carol Cone Becomes Chairman

BOSTON, March 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Jens Bang has been named chief executive officer of Cone Inc., a brand strategy and communications agency that works in the areas of cause branding/corporate citizenship, marketing communications, and issues/crisis management. Founder Carol Cone will continue her active involvement with the company in the new role of chairman.

Bang came to Cone as executive vice president and chief marketing officer in 1997 and for the past six years has served as president and COO. Bang's career has covered both agency and client positions focused on building global brands, including senior executive experience at Timberland, Reebok, Rockport, and Nordica USA. "Today's business landscape has been altered by the influence of the Internet, by several years of corporate misdeeds, and by an atmosphere of anxiety," said Bang. As chief executive officer, Jens Bang will have responsibility for areas including client relationship management and programming, human resources, agency marketing, finance and overall operations.
