Deutsche Bank appoints Robert Khuzami General Counsel for the Americas

Deutsche Bank today announced the appointment of Robert Khuzami as General Counsel for the Americas. Khuzami currently serves as Global Head of Litigation and Regulatory Investigations, and he will replace Timothy Mayopoulos. He will continue to be based in New York and report to Richard Walker, Global General Counsel of Corporate and Investment Banking.

In his role as General Counsel, Khuzami will supervise all legal matters in the Americas, including continuing to supervise litigation and regulatory investigations.

"Rob has been an integral senior member of our legal team since he joined and is perfectly suited to take on the role of General Counsel for the Americas," said Richard Walker. "We thank Tim for all his contributions and wish him well in his new endeavor."

Before joining Deutsche Bank in 2002, Khuzami served for 11 years as an Assistant United States Attorney in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York. As Chief of that Office's Securities and Commodities Fraud Task Force for three years, he prosecuted numerous securities and market-related crimes. He received the Henry L. Stimson award for outstanding public service in 2001, and in 1997 was awarded the Attorney General's Award for Exceptional Service, the highest award given by the Department of Justice.

Khuzami holds a J.D. from the Boston University School of Law and a B.A. from the University of Rochester.
